Biofuels & Hydrogen Fuel Cells: The Future of Environmentally Friendly Transportation

Creating a sustainable environment has been a rapidly growing concern over the past decades. Transportation is one of the main contributors to climate change (20% of emissions in the EU and 28% in the US are caused by transportation). Specifically, the fuels used to power to the vehicles are the culprit of CO2 emissions. Currently, the public has access to electric vehicles (EVs) that are usually powered solely by electricity and hybrid cars that use less of the conventional fuel source. These cars are a step towards decreasing emissions, but are not as effective as desired.
